The Credit Analyst is a key role within the Credit Risk Management team responsible for evaluating the bank\'s credit portfolio. This role involves in-depth analysis of credit data, monitoring early warning indicators, and assessing concentration risks to ensure the bank\'s credit risk exposure is well-managed.
1. Conduct regular and ad-hoc analyses of the bank\'s credit portfolio, including loans disbursed under productive and consumption lending segments.
2. Utilize statistical and data analysis techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and key risk factors.
3. Extract, clean, and analyze credit data from various sources to assess portfolio performance.
4. Develop and maintain databases and reporting tools for credit portfolio analysis.
5. Monitor early warning indicators of credit deterioration and develop strategies to address emerging risks.
6. Provide timely recommendations for mitigating credit losses.
7. Evaluate concentration risk within the credit portfolio, considering exposure by industry, geography, and other relevant factors.
8. Recommend diversification strategies to manage concentration risk effectively.
9. Develop and conduct stress tests to assess the impact of adverse economic scenarios on the credit portfolio.
10. Analyse stress test results and provide insights into potential portfolio vulnerabilities.
11. Prepare and present credit portfolio reports and findings to senior management and relevant committees.
12. Communicate analytical insights to guide credit risk strategies and decision-making.
13. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to credit portfolio analysis and reporting.
14. Stay updated on changes in regulatory guidelines.
15. Review breach cases at business initiation, credit approval & post disbursal stages and report it
to Head of Credit Risk & Policy.
16. Carry out any other task assigned by Head of Credit Ris & Policy.
